Wisconsin Metal Parts, Inc. provides manufacturing solutions for a variety of industries. A client from the heat transfer industry came to us for a clamping fixture. Fabricated from stainless steel, this clamping fixture required us to use our in-house tool making skills to create custom tooling that included milling, welding, and assembly fixtures. Using CNC punching, bending, milling, and turning capabilities, along with TIG welding, we produced a few prototypes and then thousands of production clamping fixtures that measured approximately 8" x 3" x 3.5" clamping fixture. Throughout all manufacturing processes, we maintained tolerances to ±.002. Full inspections were performed using gages made in-house for this project.
