An OEM came to us for fabrication of an aluminum enclosure panel that would be part of a medical diagnostic device. This is one of several components we make for this assembly. Working from 2D CAD drawings, we created the necessary custom fixturing and then applied CNC punching and bending to shape the piece to its final size of 18.00” x 8.00” x 3.25”. The panel was completed with PEM insertion of studs and nuts, and a customized conversion coating was applied as a corrosion inhibitor. During the manufacture of this panel, we worked within tolerances of ±.005”. Although this piece was made from aluminum, we also make similar pieces from stainless steel.
