Wisconsin Metal Parts Continues Investing in Fabrication Equipment

Waukesha, WI, June 30, 2016 – Wisconsin Metal Parts, Inc. (WMPI) continues to invest in new technologies and has added state-of-the-art equipment for the production of precision metal components. The new machinery enhances the company’s capabilities as a one-stop metal production shop. Specific new equipment includes:

Bystronic Xpert 40 High-speed Press Brake, with a press capacity of 44 tons and 40" bending length. The working speed of the Xpert 40 is three times faster than other hydraulic press brakes and will contribute to faster turnaround times for a wide variety of cost-effective small metal parts.

Americor Plate Roller is a "new generation" hydraulic plate bending roll with a 5' length x 10 gauge capacity. WMPI installed the 3-roll, single initial-pinch model that includes productivity enhancements such as a drive system with no belts, chains or extra gear driving systems. The new roller will further improve efficiency for bending light metal sheet plates.

In addition to the Bystronic press brake and Americor roller, WMPI recently added a new high-speed CNC milling machine. The new FANUC ROBODRILL D21LiA5 has reduced WMPI’s previous cycle times by 45 percent, providing more competitiveness for the company to run higher volumes in the U.S. The ROBODRILL performs high-precision milling, drilling, tapping and other machining on a variety of metal parts and has a 24,000-RPM spindle, a 21-tool magazine and travel capacity of 27.5" (X) x 15.7" (Y) x 13.00" (Z). The milling center makes high-speed machining possible for aluminum and other metals that require efficient chip evacuation. MPI’s future plans for the high-speed machine may include robotic assistance for loading and unloading multiple machines.
