What can we do for you?

Wisconsin Metal Parts offers MIG, TIG and spot welding to complement its assembly, fabrication, CNC machining and stamping operations. Our experienced welders weld aluminum, stainless and carbon steels. We do slot/tab, free and also fixtured welding. When your project requires welding certifications, we will write welding procedures per AWS standards. A welding consultant will test and certify our welds and processes specific to your application. We also grind welds and polish to meet your specifications as needed.

Custom Fixtures

WMP’s expandable welding tables and standard welding fixtures help keep set-up costs low and provide parts to meet your part print specs. If custom welding fixtures will benefit your quality and overall cost savings, we can design and build them right here in our full-service tool room. We’ll work to fully understand your needs and provide a competitive solution with excellent service and on-time delivery.


Our Welders are certified to the D1.1 Structural Welding Code. We also have access to a Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) with the capabilities of certifying our welders and processes to the AWS codes and specs you may require. Wisconsin Metal Parts is ISO 9001:2015 and ITAR certified. Cyber security is approved to NIST SP800-171 so your export restricted (ITAR) files are always secure. What materials are you able to weld?

Steel, Stainless Steel & Aluminum

MIG welding uses a continuous feed wire that acts as a consumable electrode and also filler for the weld. TIG uses long filler rods that need to be hand fed during the welding process. MIG welding is generally faster, allows for thicker materials and is overall more versatile. TIG welding can produce finer welds in thinner materials but is a much slower process.

Spot welding is used to join two thin gage sheets together by sandwiching material between two electrodes and passing a current through them causing the sheet materials to bind together.

We have agreements in place where we process and ship orders within 3 days. Others might take 2-4 weeks. It depends on the materials needed and if there is any painting or plating involved. With some good planning we can work out a delivery schedule that meets your needs.

We can do low volume prototyping, usually as pre-production runs. However, repetitive volume is what fits us best.

We do not currently offer robot assisted welding.

We have a Certified Weld Inspector on staff and can certify welds in-house. We can also supply FPI & X-Ray inspections.

We are currently welding projects as large as 5’ x 10’

Typically, we only handle materials up to 3/8” thick.The welders here are certified to the D1.1 structural welding code and are qualified up to ½”
