Precision Metal Stamping for Micro Components and Tight Tolerances
Wisconsin Metal Parts specializes in precision metal stamping services for small, complex components that require extreme accuracy and repeatability. Many of the precision stampings we produce are the size of a dime or smaller, requiring tightly controlled tooling and highly refined manufacturing processes.
As material thickness decreases, tooling clearances become increasingly critical. Our processes are designed to maintain tight tolerances and consistent part quality, even in challenging micro stamping applications. From prototype development through full production, we support short, medium, and long-run precision stamping programs.
Precision Stamping Capabilities
Our precision stamping operations are engineered to meet the demands of tight-tolerance, small-part manufacturing. These capabilities enable exceptional consistency across tight-tolerance production runs.
Core capabilities include:
- Tolerances within ±0.00005”
- Small hole EDM down to 0.010” electrode
- Material feed as thin as 0.003”
- Stamping press capacities from 30 to 200 tons
- Press speeds up to 600 strokes per minute (SPM)
Wisconsin Metal Parts offers both soft tooling for prototyping and short runs, as well as hard tooling for high-volume production. With an in-house design team and tool room, we maintain control over tooling quality, lead times, and repeatability. Our Wire EDM capabilities allow us to support your die maintenance and repairs as well.
Materials We Stamp
Material selection and tooling design are carefully aligned to ensure dimensional accuracy, edge quality, and long-term performance. We routinely stamp a wide range of metals used in high-performance and precision applications, including:
- Steel
- Aluminum
- Brass and copper
- Stainless steel
- Beryllium copper
- Inconel
- Phosphor bronze and commercial bronze
- Nikrothal and Kovar
Quality & Process Control
Precision is critical in stamped components, especially at micro scales. All parts are inspected in-house to ensure they meet customer specifications. We offer inspection processes capable of First Article Inspection, PPAP, CPK data collection, lot control and functional checks. Parts are fully inspected using vision systems, optical comparators, CMM equipment and functional gauges. As an ISO 9001:2015 certified and ITAR-registered manufacturer, we maintain strict quality and security standards and comply with NIST SP800-171.
