To meet its revenue goals, a manufacturer needed to ship a quantity of its foodservice warming equipment before the end of the year. This required 4 months of work to be compressed into 6 weeks. But the company didn’t have the workforce to handle the additional demand.
Wisconsin Metal Parts took a portion of this project in-house and supplied laser cutting, punching, forming, welding and sub-assembly services. This gave the customer time to focus on final electronic assembly, testing and packaging. Within one week, our engineering team copied their process and created an assembly line to efficiently produce sub-assemblies and ship them all within the 6-week period. This required great communication and teamwork between both companies. Working together, we put this customer in position to ship the entire order before year-end. With WMP’s expertise, collaboration and support, our customer got more sales out the door in 2015.
