CNC Milling

Precision CNC Milling for Complex and High-Tolerance Components

Wisconsin Metal Parts provides precision CNC milling services for complex components requiring tight tolerances, repeatability, and consistent quality. Our milling operations support everything from prototype development to full-scale production, with the flexibility to handle both simple and highly intricate part geometries.

Using advanced CNC technology and skilled machining expertise, we produce parts that meet exact specifications while maintaining efficiency across repeat production runs. Our experience in the munitions, firearms, medical, and heat transfer industries ensures we can manufacture parts to your industry’s standards. CNC milling can be performed as a stand-alone service or integrated into a complete manufacturing solution.

CNC Milling Capabilities

Our CNC milling department is equipped to handle a wide range of machining requirements, from basic features to complex multi-surface geometries. We emphasize consistent setups and efficient cycle times, especially for repeat orders and high-mix manufacturing environments. We work directly from customer prints and models to ensure dimensional accuracy, surface finish requirements, and functional performance are achieved.

Core capabilities include:

  • Up to 5-axis vertical milling, 34″x64” max travel
  • Up to 4-axis horizontal milling, 24”x24” max travel
  • Custom hydraulic and manual fixtures made in-house
  • Secondary deburring and cleaning operations for parts that require it
  • Leak testing available

Materials We Machine

Material selection and machining approach are carefully matched to ensure optimal cutting performance, surface integrity, and dimensional control. We machine a wide range of metals from billet or castings, including:

  • Steel (carbon, alloy, and stainless)
  • Aluminum
  • Copper and brass
  • Other machinable metals based on project requirements

Quality Assurance & Inspection

All machined components are inspected in-house to verify compliance with customer specifications. Inspection options can be tailored to your requirements, ranging from simple feature checks to full FAIR and PPAP documentations. Wisconsin Metal Parts is ISO 9001:2015 and ITAR registered, and cyber security is compliant with NIST SP800-171 so your export restricted (ITAR) files are always secure.
