
With new technology, WMPI can now laser-cut copper, brass and other highly reflective materials with our 5,000-watt fiber laser. This means we can quickly make prototypes – in a matter of days in many cases. Our full-service tool room supports prototype needs for components used in batteries, transformers, power generation and electrical equipment. Services include fiber laser cutting, CNC machining, forming and CNC punching.
As your volumes increase, WMPI can continue to support your process with fiber laser cutting and brake press bending. Or we can proceed with hard tooling in our stamping department when volumes justify the tooling costs. We work with almost any metal and have reliable local partnerships for painting and plating as needed.
WMPI produced these prototypes on our fiber laser system and formed them on our brake press with no tooling costs. They were then plated and delivered within 7 to 10 working days. If plating is not required, we can usually deliver prototypes within a week if needed.
