2021 Year in Review - Wisconsin Metal Parts

Wisconsin Metal Parts Rebrand: February 1st

Wisconsin Metal Parts started the new year with a new logo! After a long time with the same look, we decided to rebrand. We are proud of our new logo and the values it represents. We wanted to highlight our commitment to servant leadership, high-quality products and pride in our people.

Eurotech Machine & Kitamura Machine

Eurotech Machine & Kitamura Machine: March 23rd & April 28th

We invested in new technology in our CNC department to allow us new capabilities and production speed. We added the Eurotech Rapido to allow for higher production volumes of precision metal components.

We then added another CNC machine a month later; the Kitamura Horizontal Machining Center. This allowed us to manage our expanding workload and take on some new part families for our customers. Our CNC department has grown exponentially this year and these machines have allowed us to increase our capacity.

Brat Fry Fundraiser: July 26th

Wisconsin Metal Parts hosted a Brat Fry Fundraiser for the Milwaukee Homeless Veterans Initiative. We held the event at Nettie’s Irish Pub and raised over $3,000 for MHVI. This money went directly to providing assistance for at-risk veterans and their families in Wisconsin. Many of the people at WMPI are veterans themselves and felt a certain affinity for the cause. Lots of people turned out to play in a bags tournament, enjoy drinks and barbeque, and spend time with friends, family and coworkers!

Tradeshows are Back! D2P Schaumburg

Tradeshows are Back! D2P Schaumburg: August 4th

We were thrilled to return to tradeshows this year! Two members of our team drove down to Schaumburg, Illinois for the Design2Part show at the start of August. It was great to visit with some of our current customers in person and to connect with new faces as well. We greatly look forward to participating in more tradeshows once again!

Brewers Outing: August 12th

Our annual brewers outing is back! Given the situation last summer, we were unable to spend time as a group, and we all enjoyed ourselves greatly this year to make up for lost time. Lots of our employees turned out for a tasty tailgate and an exciting game against the San Francisco Giants. We played bags, grilled and had a great time together!

GD-OTS Supplier of the Year 2020: Award & Tour : September 14th

Wisconsin Metal Parts was awarded the General Dynamics Ordnance and Tactical Systems Supplier of the Year Award for 2020. This is a huge honor and we are so grateful to GD for coming out to visit our facility, take a tour, and formally present us with the award. We had a great time showing them around the facility and hearing more about how the parts we make are utilized and how they help support the military.

Moved into a New Building : December 1st

We moved our fabrication operations to a larger location to streamline some of our operations and keep more departments under the same roof. Our CNC and metal stamping facility on Bluemound Road remains the same. Operations, management and fabrication moved into the new building on Pilot Ct. This building is 54,000 square feet of manufacturing space and is a definite upgrade for our operations! This will allow for more efficient workflows in our fabrication department. This move is incredibly exciting for us and we are looking forward to continuing our operations in this new location.
