Military Ordnance - Mechanical Fuze

Military Ordnance - Mechanical Fuze

This manufacturer originally consulted Wisconsin Metal Parts because its current stamping supplier struggled to maintain the tooling and produce tightly toleranced parts. On several occasions, we performed maintenance and repairs on the tooling and ran good parts at production rate in our stamping department.

After several more attempts to work with its current supplier, the customer finally moved its entire stamping operation to WMPI. We were able to run all of their parts successfully for many years and we have designed, built, qualified and now run new tooling as their original tooling wore out. We have also designed and built gages to ensure nonconforming parts do not leave our building. This relationship has succeeded since 1999, and we have produced nearly 320 million parts for this customer. References are available on this project.
